O Gallery

O Gallery, founded in 2014 by Orkideh Daroodi, is currently located in central Tehran in a three-story building from the 1960s that has been converted into two separate exhibition spaces and a private viewing room. O Gallery is recognized as a platform for young and emerging talents, and also features works by prominent and renowned artists from Tehran and other cities across Iran, presenting them both locally and internationally in all media.

Additionally, as part of its program and to further promote its artists, O Gallery has launched its own series of exclusive monographs, of which four titles have been published to date.

By working closely with leading curators and thinkers in the field, O Gallery is committed to presenting outstanding exhibitions that reflect the culture and perspectives of its artists. To further accompany its artists on their journeys, O Gallery has also planned a series of temporary (pop-up) exhibitions, showcasing a wide range of works by established and emerging artists. These exhibitions present works in various media—including painting, sculpture, and installation—across different cities. The pop-up format is a relatively new initiative for hosting temporary shows, lasting from one day to a month, often held in unconventional spaces such as shop windows or artists’ studios.

By establishing long-term personal and professional relationships with artists, O Gallery offers unique insight into the works on view and creates an engaging and educational environment for all. Through an ethical approach and an open-minded attitude toward art, combined with a commitment to seeking exemplary works, O Gallery fosters a creative space that benefits both artists and art collectors alike.

گالری اُ، که در سال ۲۰۱۴ توسط ارکیده داروودی تأسیس شده، در حال حاضر در مرکز تهران در ساختمانی سه طبقه از دهه ۱۹۶۰ واقع شده که به دو فضای نمایشگاهی جداگانه و یک اتاق بازدید خصوصی تبدیل شده است. گالری اُ به عنوان مکانی برای استعدادهای جوان و نوظهور شناخته می‌شود و همچنین آثار هنرمندان برجسته و نامدار در تمامی رسانه‌ها را از تهران و سایر شهرهای ایران در سطح محلی و هم بین‌المللی عرضه می‌کند. علاوه بر این، به عنوان بخشی از برنامه خود و برای ترویج بیشتر آثارهنرمندانش، گالری اُ مجموعه تک‌نگاری‌های اختصاصی خود را راه‌اندازی کرده که تاکنون چهار عنوان منتشر شده است.

این گالری با همکاری نزدیک با کیوریتورها و متفکران برجسته در این حوزه، متعهد به ارائه نمایشگاه‌های برجسته‌ای است که منعکس‌کننده فرهنگ و نگرش هنرمندانش باشد. گالری اُ برای همراهی بیشتر با هنرمندانش در ماجراجویی‌هایشان، مجموعه‌ای از نمایشگاه‌های موقت ( پاپ-آپ) را برنامه‌ ریزی کرده است که طیف گسترده‌ای از آثار هنرمندان نامدار و نوظهور را به نمایش می‌گذارد تا مجموعه‌ای از آثار با رسانه‌های مختلف، شامل نقاشی، مجسمه و چیدمان را در شهرهای مختلف ارائه کند. قالب نمایشگاه پاپ-آپ ابتکاری نسبتاً جدید برای برگزاری نمایشگاه‌های موقتی است که از یک روز تا یک ماه ادامه دارند و اغلب در فضایی غیرسنتی مانند ویترین مغازه یا استودیوی هنرمند برگزار می‌شوند.

با برقراری روابط شخصی و حرفه‌ای طولانی‌مدت با هنرمندان، گالری اُ بینشی منحصر به فرد در مورد آثار به نمایش گذاشته شده ارائه می‌دهد و فضایی آموزنده و جذاب برای همگان ایجاد می‌کند. گالری اُ از طریق رویکردی اخلاقی و با ذهنی باز نسبت به هنر، همراه با تعهد به جستجوی آثار نمونه، فضایی خلاق را پرورش می‌دهد که برای منفعت هم هنرمندان و هم مجموعه‌داران هنری کار می‌کند.
