Lajevardi Foundation

Lajevardi Foundation is an independent, non-profit institution that began its activities in 2005, focusing on the understanding and promotion of contemporary art and culture in Iran and beyond. The foundation’s activities include organizing exhibitions of progressive artists, hosting research and educational sessions, publishing books, engaging in archival projects, and creating opportunities for experimental projects in the fields of visual arts and new media.

Lajevardi Foundation strives to provide a platform for the study and understanding of contemporary art and its connection to current social trends in Iran and around the world. It aims to strengthen international and intercultural relations by collaborating with renowned universities and cultural-artistic institutions, and it creates opportunities for interaction and collaboration among artists, the public, collectors, and curators.

The foundation is active in the realm of visual arts and new media through the organization of various exhibitions. Notable international projects have included “Boomsani–Empathy,” featuring eleven contemporary European artists; an exhibition of prints by German artist Günther Uecker; an exhibition of illustrations by Spanish artist Isidro Ferrer; and a display of posters by Polish artists in Tehran.

بنیاد لاجوردی یک نهاد مستقل و غیرانتفاعی است که فعالیت خود را از سال ۱۳۸۴ با تمرکز بر شناخت و ترویج فرهنگ و هنر معاصر ایران و جهان آغاز کرده است. از جمله فعالیت‌های این بنیاد می‌توان به برگزاری نمایشگاه‌هایی از هنرمندان نوگرا، برگزاری نشست‌های پژوهشی و آموزشی، انتشار کتاب، فعالیت‌های آرشیوی و فراهم کردن فرصت برای اجرای پروژه‌های تجربی در عرصه هنرهای تجسمی و رسانه‌های نو اشاره کرد.

بنیاد لاجوردی تلاش می‌کند بستری برای مطالعه و فهم هنر معاصر و ارتباط آن با جریان‌های اجتماعی روز در ایران و جهان فراهم کند و در راستای تقویت روابط بین‌المللی و میان‌فرهنگی، از طریق همکاری با دانشگاه‌ها و مؤسسات معتبر فرهنگی و هنری، فضایی برای تعامل و همکاری میان هنرمندان، مردم، مجموعه‌داران و کیوریتورها ایجاد نماید. این بنیاد در حوزه هنرهای تجسمی و رسانه‌های نو با برگزاری نمایشگاه‌های مختلف فعالیت می‌کند. از جمله پروژه‌های بین‌المللی شاخص می‌توان به نمایشگاه «بوم‌سانی-هم‌دلی» با حضور یازده هنرمند معاصر اروپایی، نمایش آثار چاپی هنرمند آلمانی گونتر اوکر، نمایش آثار تصویرسازی هنرمند اسپانیایی ایسیدرو فرر، و نمایش پوسترهای هنرمندان لهستانی در تهران اشاره کرد.
